What is An Audiologist?

An audiologist is a hearing health professional who has been trained through significant clinical work and education to assess, diagnose, test for, and help patients with solutions to their hearing loss.  All audiologists hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree from accredited universities with special training in the prevention, identification, assessment and non-medical treatment of hearing disorders.  When choosing a hearing heath care provider, doesn’t it make sense to choose someone who is well trained in this field?  Most hearing aid centers employ hearing instrument dispensers as their providers. The dispenser is only required to have a high school diploma and pass an exam.  Who would you rather see to provide care for something as important as your hearing?
