Hearing Care

Fotolia 16276482 SOur professional audiologist can help you make informed decisions about your hearing health. Because we don’t just sell hearing aids, we understand your hearing loss.
And you should too.

Hearing loss can be one of the most frustrating and misunderstood of all impairments. There are many misconceptions concerning hearing loss and hearing aids. It is important to get the facts from an Audiologist – someone who specializes in the diagnosis and rehabilitation of hearing loss. We work with the patient to understand their hearing loss and the choices involved with rehabilitation.

Over time, hearing quality gradually declines. Many people have some amount of hearing loss without noticing it. Hearing loss often goes undetected until communication becomes increasingly difficult.

Ear Nose & Throat of Springfield offers a comprehensive hearing aid package to guide you through every step, from the initial testing and fitting to any service that may be requested.

Most patients have a positive experience with hearing aids.

HearingOur hearing aid package includes:

  • The selected hearing aids
  • 30-day trial period
  • 3-year loss/damage warranty
  • Initial consultation
  • Fitting and follow-up appointment
  • 11 month re-check
  • Cleaning and maintenance instruction
  • 3 year supply of free batteries

A hearing evaluation is necessary before a hearing aid may be purchased. This may be done in our practice, or you may have a recent test sent to us from another facility. The Audiologist will determine if your previous test is sufficient. This is not included in the hearing aid package price, but may be submitted to your insurance company. Though not required, it is advisable to have a clearance from your doctor for hearing aid candidacy.

Hearing aids have come a long way in recent years. Small and discrete – but powerful - hearing aids can now be fitted directly into the ear canal. Each instrument is customized for you, the patient. Your specific hearing loss and listening needs are considered when purchasing the instrument. The latest technology is always available at Ear Nose & Throat of Springfield.

Feel free to bring a family member with you. Everyone needs to be involved in this important decision.
